Anyway, according to his family doctor, it's acute arthritis of the left ankle. Basically, it's some form of joint inflammation. The cause is unknown at this point of time. The doctor has prescribed a short course of COX-2 selective inhibitor, which is a form of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that directly targets COX-2, an enzyme responsible for inflammation and pain.
Eric Banana hopes that the pain will go away soon; otherwise he would have to go for further tests to determine the cause for the sudden onset of acute arthritis.
